Learning to shine our light comes from a willingness to slow down and listen, beyond the noise of our thoughts, habits, and reactions. I see this as self-intimacy. As we release who we think we should be and open to our own vulnerabilities and strengths with equal delight, compassion replaces judgment and fear is embraced by love. Our own self-aware acceptance then permeates our consciousness, until we can no longer see any part of us, or anyone outside of us, as separate. In this letting go of the dense fog of comparison and criticism our natural radiance is like a bonfire surrounded by song.
